Sales cooperation with Scania in Central and Eastern Europe
Vienna Insurance Group is further strengthing its cross-border sales activities in Central and Eastern Europe by signing a long-term cooperation agreement with Scania CV AB, Scania Financial Services for the brokerage and conclusion of motor insurance. The cooperation between the two companies will thus be reinforced.

In July 2009, Donau Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group started implementation of the SAP insurance solution in its life insurance segment. Hence, the go-ahead has been given for using this standard solution for the actuarial core business also by large groups.

During the first six months, Vienna Insurance Group has successfully continued its stable development. From a local perspective, growth remains strong in many Central and Eastern European markets – as expected by us. We strengthened our number one position in our core markets in CEE and clearly boosted our market share to 16 percent.
